“These ladies are not frail or inadequate. They were survivors of your criminal mentality.

The censure impact of men like you in, influential places disrupts the general flow of a transformation of ladies’ pride.

“It is wonderful that with one lady being headed to report a charge against you, notwithstanding your situation and power, others felt ready to act.

“Indeed, even today, mental fortitude calls to boldness all over the place and its voice can’t be denied.”

Southwark Crown Court heard Carrick would “utilize his power and control” to stop casualties detailing him, with one expressing it was “penetrated into” her that he was a cop.

In proclamations read out in court, another casualty said she believed she had “experienced evil” subsequent to being over and over assaulted via Carrick who put a handgun to her head.

Another lady said Carrick hit her with a whip and would close her in a little cabinet as discipline while “whistling at her as though she was a canine”.

Carrick’s violations incorporate many assault and sexual offenses crossing 2003 to 2020, for the most part dedicated in Hertfordshire, where he resided, and all occurred while he was a serving cop.

The court heard he had embraced a seminar on abusive behavior at home in 2005.

Mrs Equity Cheema-Grubb said: “These convictions address a fabulous destruction for a man accused of maintaining the law, and engaged to do so even to the degree of being approved to bear a gun in the execution of his obligation.

You believed that no casualty would be able to surpass her disgrace and were strong and, at times, determined.

“You were proven right for nearly two decades, but now a combination of those 12 ladies, by approaching, and your police partners, by following up on their evidence, have exposed you and brought you low.”
